October 21st, 2015: Back To The Future Day


Today, the whole world of science fiction fans celebrates so called Back to the Future Day.

That's because the day of October 21st, 2015 was the exact day that Marty McFly and his friend Dr.Brown arrived to, referring to it as 'the Future'

Therefore, for all those movies fans, today the future has arrived.

Below, you can find a few interesting facts about the movie and its backgrounds.

- In order to operate the DeLorean Time Machine, 1.21 gigawatts, or 1210000 kilowatts of electrical energy was required, which Dr. Brown was harvesting from lightning striking the clock tower.

- In the first attempt to test his Time Machine, Dr. Brown managed to send his dog, Einstein, to the future for 1 minute 21 seconds or 81 seconds in total.

- It took only 11 months or 335 days for the crew to film two sequels of Back to the Future I, which was pretty tiresome, especially for the movie director Robert Zemeckis.

- It was a challenge for the directors to deal with extreme height difference of two leading actors, Micheal J. Fox (5 feet 4 inches or 1 meter 62 centimeters), and Christopher Lloyd (6 ft 1 in or 1 m 86 cm).
