The Highest Point on Earth

Undoubtedly, the highest point on earth is the summit of the earth's tallest mount, Everest.

Everest is known as the mount with the tallest peak above the sea level.

It is sometimes called Chomolungma, as its name is in local Tibeto-Burman language.

The summit of Mount Everest is 29,029 feet or 8,848 meters high.

Therefore, those who want to find themselves on the highest point on Earth should reach the peak of Mount Everest.

This mount is a part of the Mahalangur Tibetian mount range located in northern Nepal.

It is interesting that the border between Nepal and China goes right across the peak of the Everest.

Everest may be the highest point above sea level on Earth but it is not the highest mountain on Earth measured from the base.
